Each of these boards features a combination pigmented epoxy resin to enhance the natural beauty of the wood pieces within.  Epoxy is a water resistant substance that when mixed with a hardener and poured - creates a very dense foundation that will last for years.  

It is not recommended that hot objects are placed directly on the epoxy resin which can temporarily soften and deform it.
